Care & Maintenance
WORKTOPS
Kerrock Studio worktops are seamless, hygienic and repairable. Following the guidelines below will help minimise the risk of damage and maintain the appearance and performance of your Kerrock Studio worktops and moulded sinks, for many years to come.
REPAIRS AND RE-POLISH
Accidental damage can typically be repaired by us.  We also offer a full re-polish service.
STUBBORN STAINS AND MINOR SCRATCHES
Apply a mild abrasive cleaner (e.g. Cif) to the affected area. Buff gently in a circular motion using a burgundy Scotch-Brite® pad.  For an even finish, treat the entire surface.  Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
HEAT
Kerrock Studio products are designed to withstand higher temperatures than many other work surface materials.
However, direct contact with hot cookware or heat-generating appliances (e.g. electric grills or deep fryers) may cause damage. Always use a heat pad or trivet. Do not expose surfaces to extreme or prolonged heat.  When disposing of boiling water into sinks or bowls, run cold water simultaneously to prevent thermal shock.
MAINTAINING THE SURFACE FINISH
To maintain a bright, hygienic finish, periodically apply a diluted liquid bleach solution and rinse thoroughly after application.
DEEP SCRATCHES AND IMPACT DAMAGE
Kerrock Studio surfaces are highly durable but not scratch- or impact-proof. Do not cut or chop directly on the surface—always use a suitable chopping board. Avoid dropping heavy or sharp objects onto the surface.
CHEMICAL EXPOSURE
Avoid contact with harsh or corrosive chemicals, including but not limited to paint removers, acetone, oven cleaners, and drain, stove, or toilet cleaning products. In the event of accidental exposure, rinse the affected area immediately with copious amounts of water.
Follow all relevant safety precautions when handling chemicals.  Use only non-acetone nail polish remover, followed by thorough rinsing.
SINKS & BOWLS
Seamless, nonporous sinks resist stains, but substances like coffee, tea, and red wine can leave marks if left sitting. Use a multi-surface or non-abrasive cleaner (e.g., Cif  or barkeepers Friend) and rinse well.
For deep cleaning, soak with a diluted bleach solution for 15 minutes, then wash with soap and water. Always rinse with warm water and dry with a clean towel to prevent residue and water spots.
